I just wanted to share some great news for me: one of my dresses was published in the August issue of German Burda magazine!
They were very nice and sent me a copy. I had to buy it in spanish as well as I don't remember anything of the german I learned at school and I don't want to destroy this issue.
I was very excited when they sent me an email to ask if they could publish a picture of the striped front knot dress I made back in April. Of course I said yes, I am not crazy enough to refuse such an honour.
When I received the copy home, I think I danced alone in the living room for about 15 minutes. And that was before opening the enveloppe!
The german version is so much better than the spanish one. I mean, the spanish Burda has the patterns and that's all. In the german one, there are lots of inspirational, DIY and trend pages, making it a little bit more like a fashion magazine, but making references to the patterns.
I am no cutting this one open, I might even frame it :)!
So, here is the page, sorry for the very bad quality picture. You might recognize some of the most popular dresses of the Burdastyle webpage:
And a zoom:
If you are not fluent in german, I think it says something like: "I thought the knot would be very difficult. But it was not!"
Which is true! I wrote them a little text about the dress as they asked for it, funny they took only this sentence...
Now, I have to say this issue is great, there are lots of very appealing patterns, especially this Jacquard dress:
I can't wait to make it!
